About me

I’ve always been a “twig”…

I was skin and bones for most of my life, up until college. I would wear leggings underneath my jeans growing up because I was embarrassed my legs were so skinny.

I played soccer up until high school and chose to try out for the volleyball team. I made the team and excelled pretty quickly at it. Once high school ended, I went to college and didn’t play any sports and hardly exercised. I started dating my boyfriend and he religiously went to the gym every day. He would tell me he couldn’t hang out before work because he had to make it to the gym.

Back then, that was crazy to me. I never understood it. Looking back, it’s funny. Now I’m the one saying these things.

My oldest brother passed away when I was in high school and he always used to be a big fitness junkie. No one else in my family really worked out much. I have four brothers and one sister but only one of my siblings currently has a gym pass.

When I graduated high school I was going through a lot of emotional states. Finally, when things started getting really tough over a year ago, I thought to myself…

why not just get a gym pass and see if it makes me feel better?

I figured while you work out you release endorphins and all that. I got a gym pass, started going, and it actually did make me feel better. Not only did I see changes in my body, but mentally and emotionally I was feeling better.

The gym is now a part of my daily routine. I need that hour and a half or so to escape and just work on myself. Through Cali Fuller Fit I try to bring what I’ve learned along my fitness journey to the public. Hopefully, it can help to improve the lives of others as it has for me.
